It's Friday.

End of the week.

And I want to ask you something IMPORTANT:

Where did your attention actually GO this week?

Not where you INTENDED it to go.

Where it ACTUALLY went.

Because here's the hard truth most people avoid:

Your results are a perfect mirror of your attention allocation.

If you're frustrated with your outcomes...

If you feel busy but not PRODUCTIVE...

If you're working hard but not seeing BREAKTHROUGH...

The answer is in your attention.

And today we're going to audit it.

This is called The Focus Audit.

It's not about judgment.

It's about CLARITY.

Because you can't fix what you can't see.

Let me show you how this works:

THE FOCUS AUDIT: 3 QUESTIONS
Grab a piece of paper.

Answer these honestly.

No one's grading you.

This is just YOU getting REAL with yourself.

QUESTION 1: ATTENTION INVENTORY
"What did I ACTUALLY spend my attention on this week?"

List everything:

Meetings
Email
Social media
Projects
Conversations
Rabbit holes
Distractions
Everything
Don't filter. Don't justify.

Just LIST it.

Why this matters:

Most people think they know where their attention goes.

They're wrong.

I had a client Amir who swore he was focused on revenue-generating activities.

When we did the audit?

60% of his week was spent on "team maintenance" and "internal systems."

Important? Maybe.

But NOT his primary coordinate.

The inventory reveals the truth.

QUESTION 2: ALIGNMENT CHECK
"How much of that attention served my PRIMARY coordinate?"

Remember Monday?

You set three coordinates:

MINDSET
VITALITY
PROSPERITY
Look at your attention inventory.

Now mark each item:

✓ = Aligned with my coordinates
→ = Neutral (necessary but not growth)
✗ = Misaligned (distraction or energy drain)
Add it up.

What percentage of your attention was ALIGNED?

20%? 40%? 70%?

Whatever the number is... that's your TRUTH for this week.

Here's what I see with most high performers:

Before they audit: "I'm super focused."

After they audit: "Holy shit. 30% aligned."

That gap?

That's your growth opportunity.

Sandy did this audit and discovered:

Only 25% of her attention was aligned with prosperity.

The other 75%?

Putting out fires (45%)
Low-value admin work (20%)
Worry and overthinking (10%)
Same effort. Wrong allocation.

We restructured her week.

Blocked 3 hours daily for ALIGNED work.

Everything else got delegated, deleted, or delayed.

QUESTION 3: PATTERN RECOGNITION
"What pattern keeps pulling my attention SIDEWAYS?"

Look at everything marked with an ✗.

See the pattern?

Is it:

Certain people?
Specific times of day?
Particular triggers?
Emotional states?
Environmental factors?
There's ALWAYS a pattern.

Your job is to NAME it.

Because you can't interrupt a pattern you haven't identified.

One of my clients Ronald kept getting derailed by "urgent" client requests.

Every time his phone rang, he'd drop everything.

His pattern?

"Someone else's urgency becomes my priority."

Once he named it?

He could address it.

New protocol: Client calls go to voicemail during deep work blocks.

He calls back during designated times.

Clients adjusted. His focus MULTIPLIED.

Same clients. Different boundary.

THE TRUTH ABOUT ATTENTION

Most people don't have a DISCIPLINE problem.

They have an AWARENESS problem.

They can't manage what they can't measure.

They can't change what they won't audit.
