Law of Attraction: Making Dreams Work through Visualization
Remember that time back in grade school when you were asked what you wanted to be when you grow up? If you do, then you probably said you wanted to become a doctor, a nurse, a police man or even a teacher. In your mind, you could be whatever you wanted to be. We live in a world where people, young and old alike, are encouraged to dream. But as we grow older, these dreams become vaguer and harder to realize. While you are still vying for your dreams, it is the perfect time to utilize the Law of Attraction.
What is the Law of Attraction?
As defined in the New Thought philosophy, the law of attraction is the belief that focuses on thoughts which can affect one’s life directly; positive thoughts can lead to positive experiences while negative thoughts to negative experiences. It also teaches an essential belief—like energy attracts like energy. People who practice this greatly believe that it is also a force that can turn your wildest dreams into reality, by letting positivity in and getting rid of negativity. With that being said, it is hard to employ this belief when you have no goal in mind. Having no goal or no plans of achieving it can be equivalent to having negative thoughts. That is when you should start practicing visualization.
Visualization: How it Works
Before you believe in one goal, you must first have an idea of what it looks like. Visualization occurs when you create images in your mind of things you want to do and attain. You then internalize these images repeatedly, for a few minutes every day. In your internalization, you should be able to see yourself succeeding in whatever goal you have put into mind. It is an everyday mantra, and a mental trick wherein you are encouraged to feel and live in the moment. When you visualize something, your subconscious mind will act upon it, whether it aligns with your reality or not.
In a sense, Law of Attraction and Visualization go hand in hand. Both are beliefs that are already working in your daily life. When you have visualized an objective in mind, you can now channel positive energy to take you on the right track. Once you have mastered both principles, making your dream work would be more doable.
Whatever it is that you are aiming for, believing in yourself is the key to attain it. Keeping positive while avoiding destructive thoughts would reflect directly on the way you do things and the results it will bring about. When you get in touch with these two principles, it would seem as if you can attract everything you want in life.
However you define success, you can get it as long as you put your mind into it. When you are in full control of your mind, nothing would seem impossible.
